Na plaatsen donkert het hout na tot donkerbruin of donker roodbruin. Het relatief smalle spint dat maximaal 60 mm breed kan worden, is geelgrijs tot donkergeel. Er kunnen zich bij Tali hardhout vrij grote kleurverschillen voordoen, die worden veroorzaakt door de verschillende groeiomstandigheden. De structuur van het hout is echter zeer gelijkmatig zonder uitgesproken tekening. Soms komen iets donkerder gekleurde strepen voor. Tali hout is zeer geschikt voor verwerking in zware constructies. De bomen bereiken een lengte van 30 tot 40 meter. De zelden rechte stam varieert in diameter van 0,8 – 1,5 meter en is meestal takvrij tot de halve boomhoogte. De stam heeft een lage wortelaanloop en heeft vaak een onregelmatige doorsnede. In de savanne groeiend worden de bomen meestal 15 tot 20 meter hoog. Tali hardhout is met duurzaamheidsklasse I ideaal voor de toepassing in zware constructies buitenshuis, zoals waterwerken en bruggen. Andere namen voor Tali hout zijn o.a. Erun, Missanda en Sasswood.

Tali hout stofvrij Bewerken

Door de hoge volumieke massa en de kruisdraad is Tali hout vrij moeilijk te bewerken en gereedschappen stompen snel af. Goede afzuiging is noodzakelijk aangezien Tali stoffen bevat die schadelijk zijn voor de gezondheid en neus- en keelirritaties kunnen veroorzaken

After the placement, the wood darkens to dark brown or darker reddish brown. The relatively small sapwood, which can grow up to a maximum of 60 mm in width, is yellowish gray to dark yellow. Relatively big differences in colour can occur at Tali hardwood, which are caused by the different growth circumstances. The wood’s structure is, however, very even without a clear pattern. Sometimes, slightly darker lines may occur. Tali wood is very suited for processing in heavy constructions. The trees can reach heights from 30 to 40 meters. The rarely straight trunk varies in diameter from 0.8 – 1.5 meters and is mostly branch-free up to half the length of the tree. The trunk has a low root flare and often times has an irregular section. Growing in the savanna, the trees mostly become 15 to 20 meters in height. Tali hardwood, with its sustainability class I, is ideal for adaptations in heavy outdoor constructions, like waterworks and bridges. Other names for Tali wood include Erun, Missanda and Sasswood.

Process Tali wood dust-free

Due to the high voluminous mass and the crosshair, Tali wood is fairly hard to process and tools may blunt quickly. Good extraction is necessary, since Tali contains dust that can be harmful for health and can cause nose and throat irritations.
